Description

Shu Pu’erh Tea is a type of fermented tea grown and produced in the mountains of the Yunnan province, China. It is known for its unique production process and health benefits. Unlike most camellia sinensis, Shu Pu’erh Tea is typically grown wild and the trees can be several hundred years old. We carry loose Shu Pu’erh Tea. The leaves are processed similarly to green tea but undergo a natural aging process, which can last several years. Shu Pu’erh Tea typically starts with a strong, astringent taste that mellows over time, becoming smoother and more complex. Some of the most prized Shu Pu’erh Tea can be aged for decades. As a result, the older teas are often very valuable. Raw loose leaf Shu Pu-erh Tea has a sweet earthy taste.

I tried their lapsang souchong and loved it! It was smooth and absolutely not bitter. They give you refrigerator magnet with instructions on the water temperature ideal for each type of tea so you never over heat your water. I also love their practice of sustainable sourcing and packaging.

I happened to be passing by the Symphony of Leaves pop-up shop in downtown Atlanta today on my birthday, when Renee invited me in for a cup of tea. I’m not a big tea drinker, but as today is my birthday, I decided to go in to the kind request. I had maybe the most delicious cup of tea I’ve ever had. It was naturally sweet and not bitter. Reneé, explained to me how ethically and wonderfully sourced and paid out from the bottom to the top the production process was for Symphony of leaves. I highly recommend this tea. Reneé was as genuine and nice as any business owner could be. I hope to see this brand of tea succeed!
