Chinese Green Tea – Yun Wu Green Tea – Cloud & Mist Tea Yun Wu, or “Clouds and Mist,” is a fitting name for this green tea from Anhui Province, evoking the lush, mist-laden mountainsides where it’s grown. These renowned gardens, situated 500–600 meters above sea level in Huangshan, are blanketed by clouds that nourish the tea bushes with gentle mist and shield them from direct sunlight, creating an ideal microclimate for tea cultivation. The tea leaves, thick and rich in amino acids, benefit from this shade, developing a full-bodied flavor. Harvested earlier in the spring than its counterpart Fo Mei (Buddha’s Eyebrow), Yun Wu balances the boldness of mature leaves with the freshness and sweetness of the spring season. The tea is carefully picked to maintain the wholeness of each leaf, resulting in a smooth, refined brew with the depth of flavor expected from Anhui’s famed tea-growing region. It’s a wonderful choice for green tea lovers who appreciate a taste steeped in both heritage and the tranquility of mist-covered mountains.

I tried their lapsang souchong and loved it! It was smooth and absolutely not bitter. They give you refrigerator magnet with instructions on the water temperature ideal for each type of tea so you never over heat your water. I also love their practice of sustainable sourcing and packaging.

I happened to be passing by the Symphony of Leaves pop-up shop in downtown Atlanta today on my birthday, when Renee invited me in for a cup of tea. I’m not a big tea drinker, but as today is my birthday, I decided to go in to the kind request. I had maybe the most delicious cup of tea I’ve ever had. It was naturally sweet and not bitter. Reneé, explained to me how ethically and wonderfully sourced and paid out from the bottom to the top the production process was for Symphony of leaves. I highly recommend this tea. Reneé was as genuine and nice as any business owner could be. I hope to see this brand of tea succeed!
