We love everything about this twisted leaf highly aromatic, smoked tea. It is the Nectar of the Gods! Similar to what one may experience while drinking Lapsang Souchong, this sultry pine wood-smoked tea is sourced from a small bio-dynamic grower in India. This tea has a complex flavor profile with sweet and savory tones and a bit of muscatel flavor. It is processed like other black teas, however, the final stage for this tea is to smoke it over pine wood., yielding a smoky flavor. This tea is great for drinking or for blending cocktails – Teanis & Teatails. And grill masters use it as a dry rub or create a brine for grilling with it.

I tried their lapsang souchong and loved it! It was smooth and absolutely not bitter. They give you refrigerator magnet with instructions on the water temperature ideal for each type of tea so you never over heat your water. I also love their practice of sustainable sourcing and packaging.

I happened to be passing by the Symphony of Leaves pop-up shop in downtown Atlanta today on my birthday, when Renee invited me in for a cup of tea. I’m not a big tea drinker, but as today is my birthday, I decided to go in to the kind request. I had maybe the most delicious cup of tea I’ve ever had. It was naturally sweet and not bitter. Reneé, explained to me how ethically and wonderfully sourced and paid out from the bottom to the top the production process was for Symphony of leaves. I highly recommend this tea. Reneé was as genuine and nice as any business owner could be. I hope to see this brand of tea succeed!
