About Our Tea Origins

About Our Tea Origins

At Symphony of Leaves Tea Co., every tea tells a story of place—of misty mountains, ancient forests, and the skilled hands that cultivate them. For over a decade, we've been curating exceptional teas from the world's most revered tea-producing regions, building direct relationships with small, family-owned gardens and women-led cooperatives.

China - The Birthplace of Tea

China has been cultivating tea for over 4,000 years. From the coastal mountains of Fujian to the ancient forests of Yunnan, China's diverse tea regions produce an incredible range of teas.

Fujian Province - Home of White Tea

Fujian's misty coastal mountains are the spiritual home of white tea, where this minimally processed treasure has been crafted for over a thousand years.

Yunnan Province - Land of Ancient Tea Trees

Yunnan is where tea cultivation began over 2,000 years ago. Home to some of the world's oldest tea trees, Yunnan produces teas with extraordinary depth.

Nepal - The Himalayan Tea Frontier

Bhutan - Where Happiness Meets Tea

Bhutan measures success through Gross National Happiness rather than GDP, and the entire country is organic by law. Our Bhutanese teas come from a 43-acre women's cooperative in Trongsa.
